ABOUT LACY BRINSON

San Antonio Singer-Songwriter

Lacy Brinson, a 2024 nominee for Best Female Country Vocalist at the San Antonio Country & Rock Music Awards for the second consecutive year, is available to perform throughout the San Antonio and Austin areas. Born and raised in Live Oak, Florida, and known as “Lacy Lee” to close friends and relatives, Lacy provides versatile musical entertainment that’s sure to be a hit with crowds of all kinds.

As the granddaughter of a circuit-ridin' Southern Baptist preacher, Lacy got her start singing and performing in church. Lacy's original music draws from her Southern roots and tells her stories in a way that only she can tell them. Although Lacy is country to the core, obvious influences of Western Swing, soul, bluegrass, gospel, oldies, Southern rock, and pop rock infuse her set lists. Those who frequent Lacy’s shows often find themselves singing along to her original music and also to hits by artists such as Creedence Clearwater Revival, Miranda Lambert, Dolly Parton, and Norah Jones. Lacy covers songs spanning multiple decades and genres, and she tailors her set lists to her audience. Such a diverse range of song selection could be pulled off only by a performer with Lacy’s velvety voice and breezy musical charm, and it is precisely this across-the-board appeal that makes Lacy’s performance the perfect addition to any relaxed night at the bar or community-wide event.

Lacy has been performing professionally since 2010, first at the beaches of North Florida and South Georgia, and then in various venues across South Texas. Both love and her career brought Lacy to San Antonio in April 2012, and she fits right into the Texas music scene. Lacy has played numerous venues in the San Antonio area, including restaurants, bars, breweries, and farmers markets. She also loves playing private events, like corporate parties, weddings, showers, backyard barbecues, and reunions. Lacy is available to perform solo or as a duo, trio, or full band.

Her latest album, Gratitude, was released in 2019 and is available on all streaming platforms. For more information on Gratitude, click the Music tab. In January 2023, Lacy released another original song, Moonshine Revival, co-written with Michael McAndrew, that is based on a true story of the late Reverend George W. Cooper, written by Sam Kindrick. In February 2024, Lacy began releasing singles from her previously unreleased 2019 project, "Bits & Pieces." Stay tuned for further releases coming in 2024.
